Week 14, 2023

This week all habits were kept.

The highlight of this week is that our car returned home after getting involved in an accident and then spending next six months in the workshop while the parts were imported from Japan. I am surprised that it took only six months to be repaired in the post-Covid world where shipping and supply chain issues are rampant. While the replacement Jeep Renegade was great, I only realized how much I missed my own wheels after getting my hands back on them.

This week is also Easter weekend which is special to our family. We went away on a road trip for two days and spent rest of the time at home.

We went on a two-day road trip to Waitomo Glowworm Caves that was originally planned for last week but we had to reschedule due to son’s football game at the zone. Photography is prohibited inside the caves so I don’t have any pics. On the way we stopped by a historic swingbridge built in 1925. We also had a fantastic dinner in Waitomo village. Visiting Waitomo Glowworm Caves has been on our to-do list for a long time, so nice to check it off the list.

Pods

This week I cleared out a bunch of great DHH podcasts I downloaded a while ago.

I also found this old podcast 2015 that I found in my Todist and caught up on it.

Then I listened in to this one of his recent episodes which you can also watch on YouTube here. Highly recommend both.

Lastly, this 20VC with Harry Stebbings episode with Jason Fried is insightful too! You can also watch it on YouTube here.

These are all the bookmarked pods from DHH and Jason Fried in my list so far. Next week I will be catching up on another set of pods from other interesting people in my list. I will mention in the future Weekly posts if I find any interesting episodes worth sharing.
